According to the Panchang, Jaya Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Magha month is starting from 11:53 am on January 31 and will end on February 1 at 02:01 pm. According to Udayatithi, the fast of Jaya Ekadashi will be valid on February 1, 2023.
Do these measures on the day of Jaya Ekadashi
On the day of Jaya Ekadashi, after taking bath in the morning, one should recite Lord Vishnu by lighting a lamp of ghee in front of God. This makes Lord Vishnu happy quickly and there is no shortage of money and grains in the house. On this day worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu. By doing this one gets progress in life. On the day of Jaya Ekadashi, offer yellow clothes, yellow flowers, yellow flower garlands, sweets, fruits etc. to Lord Vishnu to please him. After this, feed fodder to the cow and provide clothes and food to the needy.
On Jaya Ekadashi, offer water to a Peepal tree located in a temple and light a lamp of desi ghee near it. It is believed that Lord Sri Hari resides in Peepal. That’s why by worshiping Peepal tree on this day, wishes are fulfilled soon. Tamasic food should not be eaten on the day of Ekadashi. Eat only once in a day and that too should be fruit only.
